Spiritual Adoptions

Kids say the darndest things, and my daughter is no exception. A couple of years ago when she was eleven, she made a profound observation that I often think about. We were sitting around talking about abortion and our Catholic faith, when she made a comment that her future husband or perhaps the person who would find a cure for cancer could have been killed from an abortion. Whoa! Out of the mouth of babes.

What about praying for the unborn as a devotion? That's a question my blogging friend, Chris (a proud pro-lifer), over at
The World...IMHO posed. She recently posted an article on spiritually adopting unborn babies. I think it's a wonderful idea, and I'm hoping to "spiritually adopt" this week. When you get a chance...read Chris' post.

Here are a few additional links you may want to review:

Spiritual Adoption Program - from St. Isidore's Catholic Church. On this page they take you through nine months of a baby's progress.

Spiritual Adoption - another site that encourages spiritual adoption of the unborn.

If you are looking for some good pro-life prayers, check out:

Various Prayers for Life - from the Priests for Life Website

Speaking of adoption, my husband and I have just expanded our family. Read more at my other blog - "Easing Into My Day."

God Bless Your Day!
